Safety and health policy

As a childminder, I find it very important that your child is in safe hands. You want to be able to trust that your most precious possession is in a clean and safe environment. Childminder care De Zandvisjes uses a number of guidelines to guarantee this;

  • Childminder care De Zandvisjes works closely with a childminder agency. They take an annual risk inventory and come to visit me regularly to continuously mitigate possible risks together. You might look at this as a check, but I see this mainly as a collaboration. After all, a childminder often works alone and that is why I find it very valuable to receive feedback from other professionals on my actions.
  • The Municipal Health Services (GGD) is involved in compliance with the quality requirements. They have approved childminder care De Zandvisjes for registration and will continue to test these quality requirements. They do so by visiting me unannounced and by maintaining a critical dialogue with me.
  • All adults who stay at the address of childminder care De Zandvisjes have a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). With this certificate they have been entered in a national registration system in which continuous screening for criminal offenses is carried out.
  • As a childminder, I annually follow a children’s first aid course and other interesting training.
  • In addition to standard protocols, childminder care De Zandvisjes works with various forms in which wishes and agreements are recorded together with parents. For example, forms in the field of food / allergies, medication and safe sleeping.
  • Childminder care De Zandvisjes works according to the “child abuse reporting code”. This means that I am alert to suspected forms of child abuse or domestic violence and that I will always make this a topic of discussion when necessary.
  • Childminder care De Zandvisjes has several back-up acquaintances who can be present within 10 minutes or earlier in case of an emergency.
  • At childminder care De Zandvisjes I use the principle; protect children against large risks and teach children to deal with small risks. You can find more information about this in the guideline “Risky play”, available at the childminder care.
